Counseling & Psychotherapy

"It's never too late to be who you might have been."  -- George Eliot

You deserve to feel good about yourself
and have a life that is satisfying and meaningful. Whether you are feeling down about yourself, experiencing anxiety, having difficulty coping with recent or past events, having problems in relationships or on the job, hurting yourself or making choices you later regret, I can help you attain a life worth living.

I take a non-judgmental, relational approach to working with individuals, couples and families, helping you reach your own individual goals.

I have particular expertise in crisis and trauma. If you have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, recently or as long ago as infancy, you may experience symptoms that are hard to cope with and understand. I can help you get back to where you want to be. In particular, I offer EMDR, a powerful therapy that can address the aftereffects both of trauma and of the negative experiences and messages so many of us receive growing up.

I bring to my practice 20 years of work in education and 10 in crisis intervention. I enjoy working with all types of clients and pride myself in a culturally competent and LGBTQ-affirming practice. I will work with you to set goals that are meaningful to you, arrange payment you can afford and get you back to who you want to be.
