Teacher's Day

Teacher’s day is celebrated around the world on different dates. World Teacher’s day aim is to mobilize support for teachers as well as appreciating Teachers. In India, we celebrate Teacher’s day on 5^th September. I also took part in this celebration in my Department of English. I was chosen topic ‘Symbolism in to The Lighthouse’ from the novel ‘To The Lighthouse’ by Virginia Woolf’. According to our H.O.D./Prof. Dilip Barad sir, I taught to this topic in sem.1 class. My juniors were enjoyed my session with the help of power point presentation which I prepare. In this presentation, I put background information of ‘Symbolism’ from M.H.Abraham’s ‘Glossary of Literary Terms’. And also put appropriate images to prove my views on symbolism in this novel. This presentation helps to think that how symbol/symbols play a vital role to understand literary meaning from the novel.
