Type
The ZD7 2m beacon is a Simple Multifunction Beacon. The antenna will need to be bidirectional to cover both southern Africa and South America. An H-quad bay will probably be employed.
Location
A locations is still to be determined. John Turner and Bruce ZD7VC are investigating a number of potential sites with good visibility to the southeast and the west.
Status
Assembled, awaiting shipment to St. Helena Island.
The ZD7 Beacon assembled and tested at the N7BHC QTH.
