Mirror

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

This fun two (2) days class will guide you though the process of creating a beautiful mosaic mirror you can show off in your home or give as a gift to family or friends.

You will learn how to cut/nip glass, lay out your desired design, what types of tesserae and adhesive to use, how to grout, finish, and seal your project.

All materials (including but not limited to: stained glass, broken dishes, glass gems, broken jewelry, and more) and tools will be supplied for student use during class. Should you own your own tools I encourage you to bring them with you. If you'd like to purchase your own prior to class I can provide suggestions on where to purchase them.

Using the direct method we'll cover design theory, method, materials, types of tools, and how to grout. On the 1st day of class we'll cover the really fun part...designing and mosaicing; we'll take breaks and you'll have approximately 40-45 minutes for lunch. You may bring your lunch (which is encouraged) or go to one of the nearby restaurants. Bottled water will be provided. On the 2nd day we'll grout.

You are encouraged to bring any broken dishes and/or jewelry you've saved to include in your project, and if you already have an idea for your design be sure to bring it!

At the end of class you'll leave with not only a masterpiece YOU created but the knowledge to create mosaics on your own.

(When I receive your registration email I will respond with a PayPal invoice, or if you prefer, we can make arrangements for a cash payment.
