Personal Brand
What makes you unique?
Creating a personal brand will help set you apart from the masses. Ideally, you should use the same photo (or set of photos), color scheme, and slogan on all of your social media sites.
Photo: Make sure your photo is a professional headshot. No sunglasses, hats, scarfs, or beanies. No side profile. Simple background. Read Tips for Likeable Photos.
Slogan: Come up with a slogan that represents who you are. Rather than writing "Graduate student in Environmental Science," be creative and think about what makes you different from the thousands of other graduate students in your field (e.g., "Environmental Entrepreneur and App Designer").
