We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of every New Testament Church and that every church is independent and autonomous under Christ. That does not mean that Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church is in any way exclusive, alienated or indifferent toward our sister churches in Christ.
We are a member of a couple of associations of churches that believe and practice as we do, holding to the local authority of the churches, strict particular baptism and closed communion (see our Statement of Faith, Statement of Principles of Cooperation of the BMAA and BMAA Doctrinal Statement.
Locally Mt. Olive is a member of the Northwest Association of Missionary Baptist Churches. An association that dates back to the 1950's and has been involved in founding and supporting missions and evangelistic projects in Washington, Oregon and Idaho over a half century.
The Baptist Missionary Association of America is a national work comprised of over 1,300 Missionary Baptist churches located mostly in the "Bible Belt" areas of Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana and Mississippi.
