We are dedicated to providing a low-cost, high-quality, biblically-based curriculum to prison inmates. Our curriculum focuses on the needs of inmates. The institute’s courses concentrate on three specific themes: in-depth studies on specific books of the Bible, studies on the major doctrines of the Bible, and practical Christian living.
Tuition is greatly discounted for inmates because we realize the difficulty for some inmates to raise the necessary funds. We also realize the importance of God’s children receiving proper Bible training and are thus willing to make up the difference for them. Many of our inmate students receive financial help from family, friends, or a church.
Will completing an educational program at MTCBI really make a difference in the inmates' life? Yes, it will! The recidivism (return to prison) rate for inmates across the nation is well over 50%. Statistics show that the recidivism rates of those inmates that complete an intensive Bible education program is reduced to less than 10%, and in some cases to almost 0%. The statistics show that “changing lives through the Word of God” is very successful. The personal testimony of many inmates also verifies that God’ Word changes lives.
