Q1 What are the costs to the inmates for the Bible Institute courses? It varies depending on how fast the student completes each course. Each Unit there is a minimal costs. We provide partial scholarships for inmates who cannot afford to pay the full tuition for the One-year Bible Certificate and the Associates in Biblical Studies Degree.
Q2 Are students allowed to continue their course of study once they leave prison or are transferred to another prison? Since the students deal with the Bible institute directly, they may continue his education. Once they leave prison or are transferred, they must contact MTC Bible Institute with their new address, and the courses resume.
Q3 Are there any time limits for finishing the courses or degrees? Students may work as quickly or slowly as they like, but we ask that the degrees be completed within five years.
Q4 What version of the Bible is used for the curriculum? The King James Version of the Bible is used for all courses.
Q5 Is MTC Bible Institute accredited? No, MTC Bible Institute is not accredited. Credits from our Institute may be accepted by other Bible institutes or Bible colleges as college credits. Other Bible institutes or Bible colleges retain the right to accept or rejects credit from our institute.
Q6 How do students take tests? Tests for the curriculum are set up in two ways. Some courses are set up like an open-book style grading system. Other courses will have review questions or a pre-test with which they may use their syllabus. After checking their answers to the review questions or pre-test with the answer key in the back of the syllabus, they take a test from memory without the syllabus. Students then send in the completed test to the MTC Bible Institute to be graded.
Q7 Is a High School diploma or G.E.D. required to be able to take the courses? It is not required for the One-year Bible Certificate, the Associates in Biblical Studies Degree, and the Graduate of Theology Degree, but a High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required for the Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree and the Master of Biblical Studies Degree.
Q8 What degrees are offer? It offers a One-year Bible Certificate, a Two-year Associates in Biblical Theology Degree through MTC Bible Institute. Our ministry also offers a Three-year Graduate of Theology Degree and a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree through Legacy International Bible College. We also offer a Master of Biblical Studies Degree through Legacy International Seminary.
Q9 When can I start taking classes? You can start anytime. Unlike other institutions that have a definite beginning and ending date, MTCBI operates differently. As soon as you complete the “Fundamentals of the Faith” course, and the application form, send in the appropriate tuition fees, and have been approved, we will mail you the courses, and you can begin.
Q10 Can I get a college degree? MTC Bible Institute is not a college. It is an institute. However, a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies may be completed through Legacy International Bible College. This program is only offered to MTC Bible Institute students who have completed their Associates in Biblical Studies Degree from MTC Bible Institute.
