Enrollment is OPEN for the 2026-2027 School Year!

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 Instrumental Music Program will end on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. 

Why join Band or Orchestra?

Program Overview

All students in band and orchestra...

• Receive two 30 minute lessons per week

• Can be in both Band and Chorus, or both Orchestra and Chorus, but they cannot enroll in both Band and Orchestra

Grade Level Information

4th Grade

Students in 4th grade have the opportunity to participate in performing ensembles! Students can join either the Band or the Orchestra and all students can participate in Chorus! Students are encouraged to join both an instrumental ensemble and chorus. Options are for Orchestra are: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass. Options for Band are: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Baritone or Percussion (snare drum and bell set). Go to the home page to see all of these instruments in action!

5th Grade

All students in 5th grade should sign up to continue the same instrument they played in 4th grade. If you are a 5th grader who has never played an instrument, please email Ms. Strawley before enrolling at karissa_bryant@hcpss.org.
