About Me

Karissa Strawley graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Minor in Theatre from Towson University and received her Masters in Music Education from University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has taught in schools in the Baltimore/D.C. Metropolitan area. Currently, she plays French horn in the Category 5 Wind Ensemble and the Columbia Concert Band. She is also a member of the Maryland Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, and the International Horn Society.

Ms. Strawley spends her weekends volunteering at Baltimore Center Stage and Everyman Theatre. She also gives back to the community by donating blood regularly at the local American Red Cross. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with husband and daughter, family, friends, and her three cats and dogs, Skipjack and Harbor.
