Part I Research and understand Chinese Holidays and their culture

The following questions will guide you to go through the research and help you better understand the traditions and customs

of Chinese Holidays.

1)According to the Chinese Lunar calendar, what are the dates of the 4 Chinese holidays 2017?

2) which holiday you are more familiar with?

3) What is the 15th day of the Chinese New Year called?

4)Why Chinese holidays are falling on lunar calendar?

5)Can you give a few examples of the traditions for each holiday?

6)Compare the Chinese New Year customs and your own culture’s new year's activities . Are there any similarities or differences?

Part II Make a booklet of Chinese New Year (be creative!)

Each person from the group has to do some part of this booklet.

The following should be included in your booklet.

1) Front page design by your group with your names and subject name.

2)Cover all from your PPt presentation.

3) The booklet has to be at least 8 pages as total.

Part III Demonstrate your understanding of Chinese holidays by power point presentation

Power point presentation will be presented by your group. please include some Chinese language for each slide, and

and you need to present some parts of your PPT in Chinese language. For example, the holiday dates for 2017.

Also please include the traditions, customs, related food(if any), the holiday date of this year, and the reason why Chinese people celebrate it.
