Alway go back and dig into the history and culture in regards to whatever project we are dealing with. Its hard to deal with a complete history in 45min classes and also do a project. Also, consider other ways to approach the work you've already done...reflect on the process and ask yourself what you could have done differently.
Visual Culture:
If there was one theme that I wish could carry throughout every year and every project it would be interpreting visual culture. Look around you. There are images everywhere. Some imagery is intended to persuade you to buy certain things, look and act a certain way. Bring me specific examples of such images and write about your feelings towards the imagery. Do you agree with the message? Is it something you feel has certain descriminating characteristics? What is explicit and implied about the imagery?
