ELEMENTARY RULES FOR ART CLASS

1. Respect your teachers and classmates. Be NICE. Take Turns. Kindness.

2. No touching others...no hitting, poking, kicking, biting, wrestling, hugging, keep hands to SELF!

3. No talking while Mrs. Ripp is talking or giving instructions. Use your inside voice (quiet please) ≥

4. Raise your hand for help or questions.

5. Believe in Yourself. POSITIVE THOUGHTS.

6. Make your Art.... Creative, Neat, Colorful and Complete.

7. Use restroom before or after class please.

8. Stay seated unless you must get supplies. (no wondering)

9. Always Clean Up after yourself...table, floor, chair, sink, brushes.

10. BEST BEHAVIOR WALKING TO AND FROM ART ROOM.

7-12 RULES FOR ART ROOM

1. DISRUPTING CLASS. Do not talk while I am instructing, demonstrating, giving directions, announcing things. LISTEN. DISRUPTING MY CLASS will get you a detention. Disrupting with inappropriate noises, loud talking, not following rules, horsing around, etc.

2. CELL PHONES STAY IN LOCKER OR GO ON MY DESK...NO PHONES USED IN CLASS OR DURING CLASS PERIODS (BATHROOM, HALL, ETC) 1st offense: phone is taken and stays in office all day - parents notified, 2nd offense - phone taken, detention, parents notified, 3rd offense - principal will discuss.

3. BE ON TIME WITH YOUR DEVICE READY --Tardy rules/Late to class - bring a pass from the office. 6 tardies per class = detention

4. RESTROOM PASS: USE E-HALL PASS--- Do not mess around or you will not be allowed to leave the room. NO CELL PHONES USED DURING THIS TIME.

5. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF -- DO NOT CLEAN UP until it's time (2-3 minutes before is enough)

CLEAN UP AREAS: tables, sinks, brushes, floors - Your mess is your mess, not mine ~ DETENTIONS FOR NOT CLEANING UP

6. HANDS TO YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES. Do not touch, hit, kick, hug, wrestle, etc.

7. No swearing allowed

8. Be safe -- no throwing pencils, pens, etc. USE ALL ART SUPPLIES WITH CARE AND AS DEMONSTRATED.

9. RESPECT YOUR TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES AND THE SCHOOL BUILDING/CEILINGS, WALLS, ETC.

10. You are graded on your skill and effort. Make the most of your time in here! Be creative USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND AVOID COPYING OTHERS

NEAT~ careful, clean, consistent

COLORFUL ~ balanced, purposeful

COMPLETE ~ Name, grade, date on work, Clean and Neat, Space is Filled.

***TRAINING SESSIONS ARE EVERYDAY AFTER SCHOOL*** TO TRAIN ANYONE WHO NEEDS EXTRA TRAINING ON FOLLOWING RULES.

1st offense - If you break the rules, we will go through training after school to re-train you. 15-30 minutes per day until you are re-trained.

2nd offense...DETENTIONS will be given to those who choose to not meet these expectations!

3rd offense...VISIT THE PRINCIPAL - IMMEDIATE DETENTION
