My mission is to help the students become independent, lifelong learners. I believe that it is important to focus on whole child learning, including emotional, social and physical development, as well as academic progress.
I’d like for each student to learn to work in a positive, cooperative manner while using his/her strengths to help others. Through collaborating, students will come to realize that everyone, regardless of her/his abilities, has a special contribution to make and together more can be achieved.
Students in 215 will be in an environment that will allow learning to happen. I look at learning as 'the product of educational self-organization.'
In any given classroom there is always a wide and diverse range of abilities. My goal is to meet each child at his/her developmental level and to mediate where necessary to ensure success. I like to facilitate the learning and 'allow the educational process to self organize so that learning emerges.'
I will enjoy creating opportunities to let learning happen. I will try to set the learning process in motion and then stand back as the learning emerges.
