A group of students went to Green Farms to buy snacks. They had $2 altogether. They bought snacks that totalled $1.85. Once tax is included (remember that 13%= .13) will they have enough money to buy all of their snacks? Use words, numbers and/or pictures to explain.

A student had 12.738 L of pineapple juice. He poured the juice equally into 5 ice cube trays to make frozen pineapple pops. How much juice did that student put into each tray? Divide until there is no remainder and then round your final answer to the nearest hundredth. (Remember strategies like estimating and using the inverse operation to help prove your work.) Who was the mystery student?

a) Hillcrest Community School is selling pumpkins to raise money for the community. The students charge $7 for one pumpkin.
Make a table to show how much money is collected when these numbers of pumpkins are sold: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50
b) The students spent $49 for signs to advertise the pumpkin sale. This amount is subtracted from the total amount collected. How many pumpkins have to be sold to give the community 350 in this situation?

Hillcrest Community School is having a book fair to raise money for the community. The book fair charges $6 for each book. The school spent $24 on coffee and cookies for the volunteers selling the books. How many books have to be sold to raise $350 and pay for the cookies and coffee?
Groups of campers were going to an island. On the first day 11 went over and 3 came back. On the second day, 13 went over and 4 came back. On the third day 15 went over and 5 came back. If this pattern continues, how many would be on the island at the end of a week? How many would be left off of the island?
A bat ate 110 dragon flies in total over four consecutive nights. Each night it ate 5 more than on the night before. How many did she eat over the four nights? (What does consecutive mean? Use a dictionary or the internet to find out)
