All About Me

Hello First Grade Families!  My name is Heather Silva and I will be your child's first grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.  I have been teaching for 19 years and have been teaching first grade at Center School for 8 years now.  I am extremely excited to be a part of the Center School community and I look forward to working with all of you and your incredible children this school year.

My Education

I have lived in Western Massachusetts since I was in elementary school and grew up in the town of Agawam, Massachusetts. For my undergraduate degree, I attended Westfield State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, as well as my Master's Degree in Elementary Education.

My Family

I have been married for over 19 years now to my husband, Phil.  Together we have three beautiful children, Giuliana (17), and twin boys, Anthony and Vincent (13). We also have a nine year old golden retriever named Charlie and our eight year old cat, Charlotte.

Food:  Macaroni and Cheese

Sport: Football (Patriots of course!)

Hobbies: Dancing, Spending time with family and friends, Reading and Scrapbooking
