5th Grade Summer Reading Project
Due: Wednesday, September 5th
Hello, and welcome to 5th Grade!
During the summer you will complete a reading assignment to help you kick off your last year here at Bryan School. You will choose one book from the list attached below that is on your "just-right" reading level. If you do not own this book, it is your responsibility to get a copy to read. You can either borrow it from the town library, borrow from a friend, or if you wish to buy your own copies, you can go to any local bookstore. After you read the book, complete the Summer Book Project. Directions are also attached below. If you have read all the books on the list, go to www.booksource.com to find a book on your level.
We strongly suggest that you brush up on your basic math facts this summer. If you do not know your single digit addition, subtraction, and multiplication automatically, you should be practicing a few times a week, or even once a day for 5 minutes.
Working on typing this summer will also help you in 5th grade! Practice on a real keyboard, not just your tablet!
We are looking forward to seeing your completed work in September! Good Luck!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Malki
