Dear Families,

Hello! I hope you’re having a fantastic summer, and that you’re almost ready for the new school year! I have had a very busy summer, but it has been lots of fun too! It has been so nice to relax and enjoy this time with family and friends. I have also been busy getting our classroom ready for the new school year and cannot wait for you to see it. We have a lot of fun things happening this year; you have a lot to look forward to!

I want to remind you about a few things that you need for the first day. First, don’t forget all your supplies. If it is too much to carry, you can bring in some things on the second of school. You should have everything in by Friday, September 8th. You will definitely need your notebooks, pencils, and coloring tools first! There is a copy of the supply list on my website. You have to go to the Bryan School website and find the section that says “Teacher Websites”. Then, go to “Charlene Malki”. When you get to my page you will see links on the left side of the page that bring you to the supply list and summer reading project. Please write your name on your supplies (use something permanent)!

Second, make sure you’ve read a summer reading book, and completed the project for Reading. This project is due Thursday, September 7th!

Finally, there are a few things I want to clarify on the supply list:

1. If you bought the PTA supply kit, the following items are NOT INCLUDED, and you need to bring them separately:

· Smock

· A recorder (from music last year)

2. The following items are “wish list” items that we can always use as “extra” if you’d like to donate to the classroom:

· Ziploc bags (any size)

· Paper Towels

· Lysol/Clorox disinfecting wipes

· Printer paper

If you have any questions, you can drop me an email: cmalki@cboek12.org. Enjoy the last week of summer. Before you know it, we will be back at EHB and learning! I’m looking forward to it! See you very soon!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Malki
