Students who have successfully completed AP chemistry can be peer tutors for either AP chemistry or general chemistry classes.
Students who are currently taking AP chemistry can be peer tutors for general chemistry classes.
Students who have successfully completed general chemistry can be peer tutors for general chemistry classes.
Weekly schedules vary. Typically it is a mixture of he aforementioned tasks.
Yes, you will have time to work on assignments from other tasks. Peer Tutors usually have about 1-2 days of "free time". I want to be able to support you in your other academic goals. Just remember that being a peer tutor is a partnership with me to make the learning experience or other students more accessible and effective. 😊

Complete one of the following:
1st Semester Lab Research Project: This involves learning a new lab skill. You will need to choose a lab experience with involves performing the lab(s) and writing a reflective lab report. This typically involves 2-3 Labs. I will support you throughout the experience. The focused on the learning and not being perfect.
2nd Semester Lab Research Project or Chemistry Olympiad: you can either complete a lab research project as mentioned before or participate in the Chemistry Olympiad. If you choose the Chemistry Olympiad you will need to (1) complete 2 practice tests and reflections, and (2) perform one lab from the Chemistry Olympiad.
