Spring 2016 Meeting

The Spring 2016 meeting of the Missouri Section of Project NExT happened April 7^th and 8^th at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

Our events ran parallel to the Missouri Collegiate Mathematics Competition and ended just prior to the Spring Missouri Section of the Mathematical Association of America meeting.

Our meeting consisted of the following events:

• Thursday evening reception at 7:30pm on April 7.
  • It was open to fellows (both sectional and national), candidates, mentors, consultants and guests.
• Friday morning workshop from 8:30-11am on April 8
  • It was open to fellows (both sectional and national), candidates, mentors, and consultants.

Our Friday workshop presenters were:

Francis Su, Benediktsson-Karwa Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College and President of the Mathematical Association of America.

Erica Flapan, Lingurn H. Burkhead Professor of Mathematics at Pomona College and 2016-2017 Polya lecturer.
