The Library at Monument Mountain Regional High School is a busy learning facility. In order to create a work environment that allows for academic work and quiet leisure, we expect that all using this library will:
Ask for help. Unsure of something, please ask Mrs. Staunton or one of the student interns. That is what we are here for.
Properly care for and maintain the technology in the library (plug in laptops, don’t damage the keyboards, don’t hold by the screens, be gentle with iPads and Kindles, etc.)
Learning is an active process, but there are those who need an environment in which they can focus. Respect this by conducting yourself in a manner that is not disruptive to others with no more than four in an area or at a table.
Keep the area around you clean. Put trash in trash cans, don’t write on tables, put computers away.
If needed, use noise canceling headphones which are available for your use to watch videos, listen to music, or to drown out any noise around you.
Use language that is appropriate and respectful.
Have a pass to enter the library or quiet rooms. Sign up on the Study Hall Sign Up Sheet.
Return books on time and in good condition.
Read. It’s always good.
