Solve a 2x2 cube

Align one white cube on top layer with white color facing up and another color (eg orange in pic) facing you.

Choose another cube with white + orange and place it just below the place where you want it to be ie at bottom right.

Apply algorithm

• until - the targeted cube is placed beside the white top cube. Note the top layer color orange in this pic also matches.

• Result - White and orange cubes are at the top layer. Pic 3

Repeat step 1 -3 to place other 2 white cubes at top layer with side cubes matched.

Result : white top and beside color cubes are solved. (pic 5)

Keep white cubes facing down

Yellow cube at the top.

if there are 2 yellow cubes then place it on the right side (pic 2.1)

if one yellow cube, then place it on the left bottom side. (pic 2.2)

Algorithm:

• Keep yellow side at the left side after every application of algorithm.

• Result - Yellow side is solved (Pic 2.3)

Sometimes full cube also gets solved at this point.

Check if any other side in addition to yellow and white is solved.

In this pic blue is solved. Place blue on the back side with yellow at the top & white at the bottom. (pic 3.1)

Algorithm:

• Adjust the cube by a required turn.
