Haslett hats and mittens contest

Post date: Jan 16, 2014 11:4:42 PM

Thank you everyone!!! 74 hats and 6 sets of mittens were graciously made for our December Hat contest. Each item knitted received a ticket towards winning a prize and 6 gift local yarn store certificates were given as prizes. The hats and mittens were donated to Haslett Public Schools in appreciation for the use of their facilities. They will use these to warm heads and hands of children in need. All it takes is one. A hat or a pair of mitten can warm a child.

On going projects are chemo hats and pet mats. These can be brought to any meeting and we will get them delivered. For pet mats you can keep an ongoing mat in progress. As short ends of yarn are collected they can just be added to the mat until it is about 20 x 18 inches. Crochet or knit does not matter.
