In Millimeterwave and Terahertz Electronics Lab, we seek to conduct circuit- and system-level research to enable the exploitation of the upper frequency bands of electromagnetic spectrum, i.e. from 10 GHz to 1,000 GHz. Recently, these ultra-high frequency bands have been attracting significant attention due to their strong potential in near-future applications for, e.g. ultra-fast communication (> 100 Gbps), security/medical imaging, wideband spectroscopy, high-resolution radar sensors, to name a few.
In order to bring such future systems in reality, we seek to explore interdisciplinary approaches where different aspects in electrical engineering are considered altogether. Our research is right at the cross-section of devices physics, electromagnetics, circuit theory, and signal processing techniques.
