Fitness Tests are performed once every quarter. Rubrics are attached below.
The Fitness Tests never change, so there is no surprise as to which exercises students can be regularly improving upon.
Push Ups
Curl Ups
Pull Ups or Modified Pull Ups
Timed 400 (1 track lap)
Timed Mile (4 track laps)
Sit and Reach (flexibility)
Mile Clubs are performed 6 times each quarter.
If you finish at least 3 laps in 20 minutes, you will receive an extra 5 minutes.
Not completing 3 laps in 20 minutes will result in a score of a 2 with an optional Make Up MC.
Completing a 4 is equivalent to 2 miles at a 12 min/mile pace – (24 mins).
Completing a 3 is equivalent to 1.5 miles at 13 min/mile pace – (20 mins).
Any student with a Parent Note will be asked to walk for the day and will perform Make Up Mile Club the next week.
50 miles in one school year is rewarded with a White 50 Miles Club T-shirt (90 laps).
125 miles in 2 school years is rewarded with a Gold 125 Miles 'N Running T-shirt (222 laps).
200 miles in 3 school years is rewarded with a Black 200 Miles Strong T-shirt (357 laps).
