Club of the Year Competition
The MTBA Club of the Year competition was created, starting in the year 2014, to allow all members of the MTBA clubs to earn points for their club when participating in the four Regional Events held throughout the year.
Who is eligible to earn points and awards? To earn points and awards at any of our tournaments you must be a current member of one of our 5 regional clubs AND a member of California Bowhunters/ State Archery Association. To join go to: https://cbhsaa.org/Home/Join Guest archers are also welcome!
How do we earn points? Points are awarded for individuals placing in their respective division AND by just participating. At the end of the year, all points will be tallied up for each club and the club with the highest points will be awarded the "Club of the Year" award that will be displayed at their chosen archery shop within the Region.
What is the Point System?
1st place archer earns 4 points for declared club
2nd place archer earns 3 points for declared club
3rd place archer earns 2 points for declared club
Each participant earns 1 point for declared club
What if I belong to more than one MTBA club? Participants belonging to multiple clubs within the Region must declare at their first Regional Tournament which club they will represent and commit to shooting for that club for the balance of the year.
Shooting more than one bowstyle is allowed for Regional Target and Indoor Tournaments. Starting in 2025 the additional rule is that a person may enter more than one bowstyle as long as they are at different shoot times. If entering more than 2 bowstyles, only the highest 2 scores will count for club points.
Who can I contact with questions? Contact Gabrielle Garrett, MTBA Tournament Director, at mtba.webmaster@gmail.com with all questions about the Club of the Year competition or any of the regional tournaments.
