Max Tooth Size: 1.5 -2 inches
Facts:
+Modern Sand tigers in the gulf of mexico (Carcharias taurus) grow up to ~10 feet, are popular in aquariums & pose no threat to humans.
+Sand tigers are the only sharks known to gulp air at the surface (for buoyancy only).
+These are a very primitive type of shark teeth, dating back to the Mesozoic (many sharks had very similar teeth).
