Summer Youth Camp

2022 MHS Youth Day Camp

July 18th through 21st 2022; 5:00 to 7:30 pm

Last summer we hosted over 100 elementary, middle school and rising freshman at camp, and we plan to have another great event this July. Our Camp is fully insured, and all profits go directly to the Millbrook High School Boys' Soccer Program. We used the funds generated from our last camp to purchase a storage shed for our JV/Varsity teams and supplement the cost of new jerseys.

Camp Philosophy: In our camps, we emphasize ball control skills, fun, and small-sided games. We believe that ball control skills of passing, receiving, dribbling, cutting/turning, and shooting set the essential foundation of a great soccer player. Good ball control skills also allow players to keep their head up when they have the ball and to truly see the game. Fun is the driving force that will keep a youth athlete involved in sport and healthy throughout life. Having fun also leads to good communication and teamwork, which improves athlete’s effectiveness as a soccer player as well as their social skills. Small-sided games help create a fun competitive environment, allows for many opportunities to contact the ball, and improves athlete’s tactical decision making.
