I buttoned up my jacket
to keep dry and warm.
Battened down the hatches
To keep out the storm.
Stayed on the straight and narrow
Well within the norm,
So safe, and yet so blue.
Then you walked into my life
And turned the whole thing upside down,
Demagnetized my compass
and left me spinning round.
And now I'm in a fog
And I don't know what to do.
Because I'm so scatterbrained in love with you.
