Mike Hickey's CD "55 and Sunny" is an eclectic, up-beat collection of 16 songs.
The tunes range from swinging blues to raucous Balkan dance music, from Afro-pop, Celtic, and Cuban-influenced instrumentals to New Orleans-influenced R&B.
Mike plays various instruments on the CD, and is joined by percussionist/drummers Urie Kline, Safa Saracoglu, and Craig Waltman, and by keyboardist John Huckans. Jeremy dePrisco, who engineered, mixed, and mastered the CD, also plays bass on several tracks.
