Rideau Arcott Sheep

Rideau Arcott Sheep are a breed that are known for excellent mothering instinct and fantastic milk production.  We lamb on an accelerated system, with lambs born at least three times a year (January, April, September.)

We raise the lambs in a barn environment to prevent predation problems.  Lambs are fed corn and supplement and good quality hay.  The ewes graze on a rotational pasture system and eat baylage when grass runs out late fall.

We breed some ewes back to Rideau Arcott and a percentage are bred to Terminal Sire rams such as Charollais or Texel.
