創立

微奈米磨潤應用實驗室 (MNTL) 創立於1991年，2020年改名為微磨潤與界面工程中心(MTIE)。

1985年洪政豪開始設計製造磨潤設備進行齒輪理論分析與實驗驗證工作，開啟國立虎尾科技大學磨潤學研究之先河。

當時研發空間暫時設於本校機械工程館三樓動力機械系熱工實驗室內4坪小隔間。1991年搬至現址並整合相關人員與設備，於綜合二館三樓正式成立。

Overview

In 1985, Professor Jeng-Haur Horng started gear analysis and experimental examination by manufacturing tribology apparatus, opened the first tribology research in National Formosa University (NFU). At that time, most of primary equipments are located in Thermal Laboratory of NFU Power Mechanical Engineering Department, within Mechanical Hall 3F. After reforming new staff and related facilities, Micro/Nano Tribology Laboratory (MNTL) was moved to current address (Second Assembly Building 3F) and officially established in 1991. In 2020, it was renamed as Center of Micro-Tribology and Interface Engineering (MTIE).
