- System Health -

• Security System Management
  1. Confirm only one antivirus program is installed and running. Using more than one will cause undesirable conflicts.
• Malware Scan
  1. Conduct scan to confirm system is trouble free.
• Start Up Program Management
  1. Keep to a minimum programs that start up when Windows starts to increase performance.
• Hard Disk Space Management
  1. Monitor free hard disk space. Free up space or add additional storage as needed.
• Memory Management
  1. Monitor available random access memory (RAM). Add additional RAM as needed.

- System Maintenance -

• Hard Disk Drive Integrity Check/Fix:
  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
  2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: CHKDSK /F C: > C:\REPORT.TXT This will create a file report.txt under C:/ drive, which contains the log. The "> C:\REPORT.TXT" is optional if a log is desired.
