We are always looking for highly motivated students to work with us as project assistants and/or for Masters/PhD Thesis. Interns/Volunteer positions are for a minimum of 8 weeks, are limited and subject to availability.
MICE LAB works on cross disciplinary projects and hence we are open to enquiries from outstanding students from any discipline. Generally sought after qualifications are listed below:
A Masters or equivalent in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Analytical chemistry with some experience in cell culture or microbial culture are required for all Experimental projects.
A Masters or equivalent (B.E./B.Tech etc) in chemical engineering, computer science, physics or bioinformatics are required for all Computational projects.
If you choose to work with MICE lab: Your project will be either experimental or computational (theory, simulations). Some of you may work on both aspects based on your motivation.
PhD students are only recruited through CSIR-NCL-Pune’s centralized Interviews for the AcSIR PhD Programme (June/January intakes).

Job openings for Research Assistant /Postdoc in Synthetic Biology, at CSIR-National chemical laboratory
The Metabolic Inquiry and Cellular Engineering Labat the Chemical Engineering Division in the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory has an opening for postdocs or research associates in Synthetic Biology. The positions will focus on engineering hosts Yeast/E. coli for penicillin production by integrating the tools of synthetic biology, microbiology and systems biology.
