The MHV IBM Retirees Club meets at the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus #4065 Council Hall , which is located at 339 New York Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. (click here for a map showing where the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus #4065 Council Hall is located)
The Retirees' Club is administered by the board of officers and supported by membership dues. Membership is open to all IBM'ers and their friends, their spouses and surviving spouses. A retired member or a surviving spouse may bring a guest to our meeting. Annual dues are $20 per couple, $10 per single.
Meetings are held January through June and September through November at the Knights of Columbus on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Social Hour begins at 1:00 PM. The meeting begins at 2:00 PM. Following the brief meeting there is entertainment or a speaker from the community providing information about services and item of interested to retirees.
Our meeting in December is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month as a holiday luncheon, location is announced and publicized two months in advance. Meetings are not held in July and August.
On 1/24/15, despite the snow, nineteen of us had a fine meal and were entertained by Ryan Dutcher, “The Illusionist” at our normal meeting place. With a little luck of the Irish, we won’t have snow still hounding us on 3/21 for the KofC St. Patrick’s Dinner/Dance!
Ladies, there will be a Two-Penny Social on 3/8, thrown by the Columbiettes, at our normal meeting place. The Columbiettes are a sister organization of the Knights of Columbus. If you like Penny Socials, you will love this event (lots of fun, food, and a chance to meet like-minded folks)!
I’m looking forward to Spring and the chance to lead a biking event on the rail trail starting at Daddy’Os in Hopewell Junction and ending at the Walkway over the Hudson for those who like a vigorous day of biking (25 miles round-trip). For others who just want to bike 1 mile, we will meet you at the Morgan Lake entry to the Dutchess Rail Trail. More info on this will be forthcoming at the March meeting. So, get your bikes ready! This will be a very low-cost outing :-)!
Our trip chairman, Lou DeFelice, has provided a list of trips some of which he will talk about at our upcoming meeting on 2/19. Please take a look at them elsewhere on this site!
Upcoming local events documented elsewhere on this site: “St. Patrick’s Dinner/Dance” at our meeting hall on 3/21, and “Knight at the Races” on 4/11. Our next meeting will be on 3/19, with a speaker from Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, Cornwall. The topic will be: “Animal History of the Hudson Valley.”

Family Promise of the Mid Hudson Valley
Thank you from Family Promise of the Mid Hudson Valley.
Many new links have been added to the "Best of the Hudson Valley" section, thanks to the material Mary has been putting out on the table at our meetings. If you click on one of the flyers below you will get a larger view of it or go to Event.
If you have something you would like posted (a Restaurant, a Show or other Entertainment, a Place of Interest, or an Event) please let us know. This can be used just like the bulletin board we had at each meeting for awhile and the info Mary puts on the table at our meetings.
