Spring will be here in 8 days! I believe the majority of us will be very happy to see the season change! Before we leave the Winter of 2013-2014 behind, I hope you have a chance to look at the following video of Ice boat sailing on the Hudson:
The segment was broadcast on NBC Nightly News on 3/10. The ice boating took place on March 1st & 2nd. At least some folks were having a lot of fun for a brief time!
As I look at the IBM Stock price, it has trended down from 210+ to 186.22 today, which is disappointing in the short term. I’m hopeful along with some analysts for a return back over the 210 point range. IBM has long been regarded as a bell weather of the state of the U.S. economy. What do you think? I’d like to know!
My latest discovery is a handheld device that extends the storage of laptops and especially portable devices (tablets, phones, ipods, etc.). The genre is called a Wi-Fi drive. Simply put, it is a wireless device that offers a huge increase in the storage used in computing devices. My favorite is called the Corsair Voyage, which can be accessed both wirelessly and directly wired to PCs & Macs and other larger systems. I personally will use it to provide 1 Terabyte (trillion bytes) of storage to our iPads and Macbooks. For more information, please see Corsair Voyager Review - CNET.pdf elsewhere on this site.
I hope you will come to our meeting on 3/20. I will be showing a presentation on Kara and my Journey to Alaska last year, which I previously offered at the La Grange Library. Looking forward to seeing you!
Looking forward to seeing you!

Family Promise of the Mid Hudson Valley
Thank you from Family Promise of the Mid Hudson Valley.
Many new links have been added to the "Best of the Hudson Valley" section, thanks to the material Mary has been putting out on the table at our meetings. If you click on one of the flyers below you will get a larger view of it or go to Event.
If you have something you would like posted (a Restaurant, a Show or other Entertainment, a Place of Interest, or an Event) please let us know. This can be used just like the bulletin board we had at each meeting for awhile and the info Mary puts on the table at our meetings.
