The school library is the hub of the school and the root of information literacy. It is the key to preparation for the information age.

An effective library program provides for a certified library media specialist in every school, in order that all students K through 12 may acquire the skills necessary for competence in an information-directed world.

Adequate staffing, state-of-the-art facilities, and sufficient resources serve to create a strong library media program that will enable Middletown’s students to use information for a productive and fulfilling life.
