The school library media center is a vital and integral part of the school and reflects the philosophy and vision of the district to prepare students for the demands for a literate, technology-oriented workforce. The school library media specialist works with students and staff to acquire the skills of information literacy and to promote lifelong learning. In the school library media center students develop critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills as they use a variety of resources, both print and electronic, to meet the goals of the curriculum and the needs of the individual learner.
