Cape Cod National Seashore
All fifth grade students in the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School System are required to spend a week at the N.E.E.D Collaborative in Truro. The building is a former Coast Guard Station located a few hundred yards from the Atlantic Ocean and is within the Cape Cod National Seashore. During their stay, students will participate in a Beach and Dune hike along Ballston Beach, day trips to Fort Hill at the Red Maple Swamp, theWhite Cedar Swamp, the Salt Pond Visitor's Center, the Beech Forest, the Marconi Station, and the Pilgrim Monument. They will also participate in a variety of environmental studies of kettle ponds, salt marshes, bogs, and dunes.

Please make arrangements to have your child picked up at school by 12:00 Noon on Friday.
