This is the Review of Halloween 11. (HTR)

I have seen ALL of the Halloween movies, also catching the marathon of them on AMC on 2017, but I have never seen any in theaters.

Until now.

This movie started off with an interesting monologue by a guy who sounded a lot like Sam Loomis, good that they got a soundalike, and then there are two naive investigators talking to Michael Myers, bald with his back to them, one of them holding up his mask.

The opening was good, with a twist: The Pumpkin inflated this time, and yet again, it seems someone was "Introduced", usually done in the Halloween Series.

Laurie, it seems, had another daughter, who married and had a daughter. First Jamie Lloyd, then John Tate, now her. Sure, you can assume the other sequels didn't happen, but I, and seemingly Carpenter, take a more ambiguous route with it, having the characters imply that it's a bunch of rumors loosely related to actual events, so you can take or leave any of the sequels, I do prefer that subtle route, there.

There was also a subtle nod to Halloween III, when some of the Trick-or-Treaters later wore the Silver Shamrock Masks.

Laurie was a hellbent survivalist in this one, and I loved it, with little rythmic, cyclic things happening in this one resembling things in the other movies, the Sheriff was some guy who supposedly was there on 1978, but most likely in the background or something, and he was killed by the successor of Loomis, who was given a twist, and became a renegade villain eager to study and understand Myers, another thing to make this one quite different.

Indeed, the flaws of the other films, and ideas to make Michael scary again seem to really have been followed this time, and this one easily makes for a great final chapter. The Costume Dance and soundtrack of the film are different and suspenseful, and seeing another Babysitter scene here was similar to the older ones, and with some nasty surprises. Julien, the kid being babysat, disappeared, though, after the Babysitter and her boyfriend got killed. What happened to him? I like to think he got away, but one can't be too sure...

Having a Safehouse, and final firey fight to the death was great, different, but with all the things we've come to expect from a good Halloween Movie.

Without a doubt, a great one, and mysterious and subtle, with good surprise twists. A
