May 4, 2022 Spring Meeting

The Spring Meeting was held at the Maple Hill Farms Inn & Conference Center, 11 Inn Road, Hallowell, Maine. The guest speaker was Ron Romano, Secretary for the Association for Gravestone Studies. His topic was "Using Gravestones and Cemeteries to Research Your Roots".  

August 3, 2024 Summer Luncheon

The Summer Luncheon was held at the Spruce Point Inn in Boothby Harbor, Maine.  We enjoyed a fantastic summer lunch offering Maine Clam Chowder, Lobster Rolls, Braised Short Ribs, Herbed Grilled Chicken, Assorted Salads and Spruce Point's very own delicious Blueberry Dessert.

The "Irish Maids from the Victorian Mansion in Portland" presented "tales behind the staircase". All enjoyed their entertaining presentation. 

November 2, 2024 Fall Meeting and Luncheon

The Compact Day Celebration and Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Park Street, Freeport on November 2nd. The Annual Business Meeting will be held from 11:00-11:30 a.m. and the Annual Meeting will be held at 12:15 p.m., to be followed by the Thanksgiving Dinner at 12:30 p.m.

The Program will be given by  Mayflower member Gareth Laffey.  He has several flute pieces that pay tribute to Maine and the history of the flute. He will also give demonstrations of the evolution of the flute over time.
