Fiber Landscapes
Fiber Landscapes
I began creating fiber landscapes in 2016 after an invitation to visit the studio of the late Audrey Sells of Chanhassan, Minnesota. She taught me her technique for using free-hand cut, raw-edge appliqué while working from a photograph for inspiration. This method gave me the freedom I needed to dive into a series of landscapes. You will notice reoccurring themes, especially birch trees, as I continue to experiment with different ideas.
