Future Predictions
In my family I predict that my sister, my brother and I will all grow older, get married and have kids. I predict we will all live in California when we are older, because it is where we are being raised, and it has the best weather of all of the states. Our family will most likely carry on the tradition of always having Thanksgiving at whichever house my parents live in; with all of our families. I think that my siblings and I will all have successful careers and be reasonably well off in terms of money. I don’t believe there will be any major unpredictable changes in my family.
In way of the country, I predict that the United States will continue to be the symbol of freedom in the world. Long term I believe the United States will become less dependent on foreign oil because many new cars now have alternative energy technology. Also, I believe advances in technology will develop cheaper ways to generate and store power and make us less dependent on foreign supplies. I believe the war in Iraq will continue for the next 3-5 years. However, I think there will be less and less American involvement in the war as time goes by. I also think that the people of Iraq will become more forceful in fighting against the terrorists and will one day have a democratic nation that reflects all views in their country. I believe one day in the next century that the majority of nations on the earth will have some sort of democratic government and most of the petty dictators will be removed from power. I believe there will be a confederation of nations (much like the U.N.) that will have the power and ability to arbitrate disputes and solve problems between countries.
