Participants in this course will need to maintain weekly “notebook” entries:
- Good scientists maintain “notebooks” as they conduct their research about their thoughts of their explorations. In the modern world these can take many different forms:
- Paper and pen
- Weblogs, Web pages, Social networks, etc.
- E-mail
- Other creative forms for keeping track of thoughts.
- It does not matter as long as records are maintained.
- Each participant will need to keep a "notebook" that records individual and group efforts to address the assigned problems. Entries should be made at least twice each week (dated) and copies of the entries should be submitted to the instructor once each week prior to the first weekly class meeting. These will be evaluated using a rubric that will be provided. Be sure to examine the rubric to make sure you are on the right track.
