Master – A CMx2 mechanoid.

Slave – a drone that extends the presence of the master for either power and/or control.

Hard Point – installation point on a Mechanoid or vehicle. Sometimes called a Node.

Module – an item installed into a Hard Point.

Drone - A node is a functional unit attached to the master, a drone is a autonomous functional unit.

Control

Control Range - VGx3 hexes.

Program - soft skill.

Integrity – Derived value

Structure – Derived value

Cloud - area around the master that is infested with control nanites, allowing the master to control the nodes, and allowing nodes to gain a refresh of nanites as required.

LOS - Line of Sight

A line of sight is determined by drawing a line from any part of a starting hex to any part of the target hex. If that line passes through any hex that is considered to block sight (as opposed to hindering it such as soft cover) then the LOS is broken. If a LOS cannot be drawn then the target is considered to be OOS (out of sight).

LOC - Line of Control

A LOC requires a LOS to exist PLUS is limited to the control range of the mech (VGx3 hexes). A target that does not comply with this is considered OOC (out of control). This will mainly apply to drones.

OOC - Out of Control

The drone is unable to receive new orders or to transfer new power points to or from the Master.

UC - Under Control

AOC - Area of Control

OOS - Out of Sight

Hard Wired - a physical cable connects the two devices, making EWF ineffective, but exposing the connection to being cut or stolen.

Wireless - normal method of communication between a master and its drones, and other masters.

Hot Wired - a hot wired connection is one where the wire is attached by force and of a temporary nature, such as during a wiretap attempt - the solder is still hot.

Cold Wired - a cold wired connection is one where the join is established in a normal and authorised many, the solder has had time to grow cold.

Wiretap - device used to cut into a hard wire and allow sequestration attacks against those devices at +1.
