Take your advocacy one step further. As a member of the Monroe County Branch NAACP, you're making it your personal goal to ensure that our community thrives in every aspect including education, economics, health and wellbeing, and racial justice. Thriving in the NAACP looks like:

• Providing scholarships for students.

• Fueling local volunteers who drive culture and change. 

• Amplifying the voices of Black Bloomingtonians and their allies to make sure solutions to our most pressing issues are equitable.

• Working with activists and organizers in like-minded organizations.

• Organizing direct action campaigns to bring attention to local issues.

• Supporting access to quality education, healthcare, economic opportunities.

• Participating in voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaigns.

• Attending local, state, regional, and national events and training to sharpen your advocacy and leadership skills.

If you are interested in joining the NAACP in our movement to improve, protect, and change our community for the better, you have several options for membership application/renewal:

1. Mail-in membership form and payment.   Print and complete the membership form and send it with your check or money order to the local branch office listed in the document.

2. Use the national NAACP site.  The national site https://naacp.org/membership/ accepts credit card payments.  Our branch number is 3062.  Note that it can take several months before our local branch receives your membership information.
