Philosophy and Political Thought I and II, Fall 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021; and Spring 2014-2019 

PPT I and II constituted the one-year sequence that all Yale-NUS students took in their first year of the Yale-NUS Common Curriculum. I presented lectures on Mengzi, Aristotle, Marcus Aurelius, the Bhagavad Gita, Zhu Xi, Lucrezia Marinella, and 20th-Century Chinese Political Thought (including Liang Qichao, Chen Duxiu, and "New Confucians"). I also led weekly discussion seminars on other figures, ranging from Mozi to Vasubandhu (Semester I), and Santideva to Hannah Arendt (Semester II).
