Radiocarbon data for Northeastern megafauna

Post date: Dec 31, 2013 4:15:12 PM

Lee and I recently published an article in Quaternary Science Reviews using a large database of Pleistocene megafauna from northeastern North America. The database we compiled for that publication is available as part of the supplementary information for our paper, and consists of two parts:

  • Supplementary Table 1 -- Contains all of the dates that we determined to be reliable (though, perhaps not as precise as some of our reviewers preferred)

  • Supplementary Table 2 -- Contains all of the dates that we rejected from our analysis. Basically, these are anything not obtained directly on skeletal material, dates that are believed to be contaminated, or dates that were superceded by more-recent AMS assays.

Since both tables are posted on Elsevier's Web site, I'm not going to upload them here. However, if you are unable to access them at Elsevier, please drop me a line and I'll pass them on to you.
