Roman numerals

Roman numerals is another numerical system.

We often see roman numerals used in giving examples such as i) , ii) , iii) , iv) 

                                                          in films such as Rocky II to Rocky V

                                                           to expressed the date a movie is made such as Star Wars in MCMLXXVII

Here is a guideline to roman numerals

i or I = 1

v or V = 5

x or X = 10

l or L = 50

c or C = 100

d or D = 500

m or M = 1000

Please note: you can never have more than three of the same symbol in a row.

Therefore 1 - 40 would look like this...

I         =  1                                                XXI       =  21

II        =  2                                                XXII      =  22

III       =  3                                                XXIII     =  23 

IV      =  4                                                XXIV     =  24

V       =  5                                                XXV      =  25

VI      =  6                                                XXVI     =  26

VII     =  7                                                XXVII    =  27
