Artifact Description:
I developed a geography unit. The following items are from this unit. Students begin by exploring basic map concepts, answering questions related to maps, and labeling a map of the world. They then define a variety of geographic terms and label a map with those terms. After this, students focus on physiographic features while working with a map of the United States. The second half of the unit discusses each of the five themes of geography – location, place, human/environmental interactions, movement, and region.
