From mostly writing screenplays, I have recently become interested in the stage, and last year studied drama writing with the multi-award winning playwright, Timothy Daly (his play KAFKA DANCES first brought Cate Blanchett to international attention).

In the coming year I am committed to writing a full length stage piece, but in preparation I have tested the waters with a short play:

A STAR ON MY SHOULDER

This ten minute play was short-listed at SHORT + SWEET in 2010. A one man show,inspired by the murder of Sally-Ann Huckstepp, it tells the story of a policeman forced by corruption to kill the woman he loves, and his consequent battle with conscience.
